Perhaps take a moment of your day to remember those who died and served on 9/11/2001.

I was in the same place I am now, at my Pocono house, and my youngest son Brian (Woundy) was with me. I cannot help thinking about it.

I had the TV on watching God knows what when the program interruption came on and I switched to CNN. Brian was still asleep. Did not take long for me to roust him from bed. But at first, I just thought it was news worthy.

As the story developed so did the emotion, it was a horrific event that those in this country are unlikely to ever forget. For my generation it was our Pearl Harbor. Many of the images will be etched in my mind forever.

Watching it develop and the speculation was emotional, the compassion for those affected, the heroism of the public servants involved and the anger and need for revenge were all experienced.

My emotion even shows itself now as I type with more typos and mistakes than I ever make. If I posted without editing this post would have been unreadable for the mistakes.

I remember the day to well.

I was working at popular grove airport preping some of the taxi ways for blacktop. I was told to make all areas accessable by the airport rep. My boss called me and told me to get all the crews out and send them home. (no reason) I was to wait there. He would be out to talk to me. He showed up and was almost in tears. His son is a commercial pilot, and couldnt get ahold of him. We sat there for about a hour and listened to it on the radio, then went back to the office and watched it unfold. A day i wont forget or really believe it could happen.
