Let me tell you...

A series of T-Storms has plagued Northwest Indiana during August starting the 15th of this month.
I went to work at 7 am on Thursday the 16th....I came home at 4 pm Friday the 17th.(32 hours)
I went back out to work at midnight the 17th....I came home at 11 am Sunday the 19th.(35 hours)
Wait...there's more...
I went back out Sunday the 19th at 5 pm...came back home on Monday the 20th at 11 am.(30 hours)
Be patient...I'm not done..
Back to work on Tuesday the 21st at 7am...came home Wednesday at 9 am.(26 hours)
Back to work at 7 am Thursday...back home at 5 am Friday.(22 hours)
One good nights rest and back out at 6:30 am Saturday the 25th...came homeon Sunday the 26th at 11 am (29 1/2 hours)...Boy am I tired!

And there were guys that worked more than me!

During all of this...soccer season started and I am coaching a team..my wife had undergone a surgical procedure and the kids went back to school..and my oldest started college....

So please..when you see a guy out on the line trying to restore power...have a heart...we have a regular life that we want to get back to also.

I hope to be on this weekend.....all this overime has really cut into my FT time....which really pisses me off!

LOL.....with the money you will be able to buy a PC that can play Airborne.

And I am sure there must be some greatful people who got power back.

Although usually all they do is complain about the power company and not express gratitude for the effort of the workers.

BTW, one of my wifes cousins husband got killed working on one of those high power towers in a storm, do be careful.

Didit, your efforts are appreciated by most of us mere mortals. 
Be safe out there. We had some serious storms in mid Michigan last week also with a couple tornadoes and plenty of down power lines, with at least one on an occupied vehicle.

Believe me....we slow down and do things in a very methodical procedure to avoid any accidents.
Unfortunately....bad things still happen. We had to bury one of our own last August, an apprentice named Mike, who was killed while restoring power after a storm.
A very sad day for us. A bunch of tough lineman...not a dry eye to be found.

These were taken outside of the cemetary as we followed in the procession.
