The shame of it Walmart is that it did not have to be that way.
Had the leadership listened to and actually allowed input from it's members none of this might have happened.
My always humble opinion is that the majority Council's perception was that they were elected by the members to run the clan as the elected Council official's saw fit. They knew what was best. It was not for elected Council members to listen to and represent the will of the majority membership in making decisions, it was for Council to use elected power over the membership.
I like van Doorn's description of "Power" and think it is appropriate when applied to [FS]:
"Power is the ability to, in accordance with the objectives of a person or group, consciously limit the behavioral options of other persons or groups"Had they listened and deferred to the will of majority of the membership the [FS] could have been as strong today as it was long ago.
BTW Dog, I sympathize with your sentiment, a once good thing has been dragged through the manure pile. It is regretful and perhaps that is why I am still bitter.
