« on: August 27, 2006, 02:28:16 PM »
I know that there are lots of free sites to host pictures for forums....I use Photobucket for hostinf all of my forum pics and sigs....here's a link for anyone that wants it...Its pretty straight forward and user friendly. Once you upload your pics..just copy and paste using the [IMG] link. Any problems...give me a shout or pm and I'll try to help you out.

I am having problems resizing to fit the web page.

Select Edit, Select 50%, Select Resize, photo changes in Photobucket.

Copy IMG link and post to web site and picture is always huge.

I got it to work okay other other day, now I can't. Picture quality my be better than others and causing the problem, who knows.

If you had already posted that pic...the original link will stay intact. You need to  re-size and re-name the pic...and then use that redone link...I usually re-size the pic before it is uploaded.

Hope that helps!

Photobucket has modified the resizing feature on it's web site, seems to work real well.

Instead of a percentage you can select an option for web hosting for resizing....worked fine and easy for me.

I did take the precaution of Highlighting Img before selecting Edit and the size for Web Hosting. DO not know if that is a necessary action or not.

Hi! Make sure that it is 1 megs or less and when you make the changes, save it with a different name and then, add it to your photobucket.  I use it a lot and some preactices as well. All my pictures are 1280x1024 with 300k each with no problem. just to let you know.
