Good offer Soul.....a few golfers here might be interested.

Since I get the e-mails for the contributions I am submitting mine now so it cannot be said my contribution is based on inside knowledge of contributions made.

I trust that is acceptable to all.

How do we know how much of us give?

Does it say somewhere?

This will be interesting.

I love golf ;)

Admins are notified of the contributions, myself included.

That is why I put my contribution in early I would not have inside knowledge before placing my bid. My bid is in and finished before others placed their bids.

At the end of the month the winning contribution can be announced including the amount, I would think, in this case.

Normally only the fact that a person has contributed is recognized on our Forum. In this case I think the winning bid needs to be announced since this is a bidding offer.

As I am notified via e-mail from Gameservers I post acknowledgement that the contribution was received in the right hand column. The amount is not notated.

Perhaps I should edit that to reflect October only because of Souls offer??? Then we could watch who is in the bidding.

Now remember, just becasue you are not interested in bidding on the note does not mean a smaller contribution is not appreciated. :xmas2:

Comments???????

An update because Buggars tend to be very smart. :police:

As suggested to me by a smarter than me member....

I will not be posting Donation updates for October because if someone is wise and devious he can note the current amount, watch for a donation post, do the math and know what the bid was.

This could be done progessively so that by the end of the month a bid could be submitted topping all the previous bids.

Now I know Buggars would never think to do such a thing but we are committed to avoid any temptations.

So the Thank Yous will be updated early Nov. with the winner announced.

Now remember this note is worth a lot.Someone was trying to give me a £100.00 for it thats $200.00 because of the sereal number on it.
In 1978 Jack shot a 71,72,69,69=281 and 281 is on the note and  also the photo of jack in 1978 holding the jug. jwn 1728181

I would put the note into a nice display case.

I tend to collect things from other cultures..

There is a lovely Scottish display case sized for Soul Collector to fit into. it is fully plumbed with several types of beer supply valves and the golf channel, however I had some problems getting the Haggis supply system right...

The Canadian display case is fully stocked with Molson and powdered donuts, with 24 hour hockey games, however I am not sure if this applies to Quebec as well...Kinda short of frogs and snails nowadays..

To be honest with you the Greek section is kinda undecorated. I really don't know what to feed them. any tips would be appreciated.  ;D
