The Old FS
« on: October 10, 2006, 02:20:04 AM »
Hello Seven,

This will probably get deleted and I will get banned from the Buggars, but would you pass this information on to the old FS members that have joined Buggars.

When they attempt to post on the FS Forums, they log on with their old FS tags.  This does not work, as they have lost their tags when they resigned.  All they need to do is log on without the tag and use their old password. Retired members when they join another clan they automatically lose their tags.  Shamu knows this.

Instead, they come on under a different registration and accuse the FS of getting rid of them.  Call them the Forum police and Nazis.  I don't think you would want that in your server and we sure don't need it in our server.

The only bad feelings and bad blood that keeps the clans apart seems to come from the old FS members that have resigned.

Please ask them if they wish to lose all ties with the FS to PM a council member and it will be taken care. I do not know what they hope to gain by posting it in Free Speech, except to harass the regulars.

The old FS is here, not there.  Please enjoy your stay here and let us enjoy our Server.

Thank you, Seven or 7.

Why would we delete this?  We dont have people here like MomsWife and Rbg, well RBG gets others to do her dirty work.

Say what you want, type what you want.  Im surprised your still there.  A moderator overrules a Council member?  When did that change Hardcase???

And by the way we didnt loose our tags we handed them in ;D

Big difference there buddy.

Some former members have tried login on both ways but had no success.  But then does it really matter, all posts are deleted anyway, correct?

People have tried to say goodbye and it gets locked.  People have tried to express their views and it gets deleted, even current members ::)

And you of all people ask Woundy if his last comment is his sign of a resignation ::)

Man they sure have you brainwashed over there.  Remember I was on Council when the $hit hit the fan.  Do you remember who asked all of us to take care of things?  I remember ;)

I still like you so post away ;)

Hello Seven,

This will probably get deleted and I will get banned from the Buggars, but would you pass this information on to the old FS members that have joined Buggars.

HC this is not FS, there is nothing in your post that warrants deletion. It's informative and reasonable.

But when you consider the actions of your forum Nazi's the reaction you see from older members is to be expected. It is an attitude created solely by the FS Councl and Moderators.

Instead, they come on under a different registration and accuse the FS of getting rid of them.  Call them the Forum police and Nazis.  I don't think you would want that in your server and we sure don't need it in our server.

In this rare instance perhaps the FS has finally found some issue they can properly defend and explain.

Unfortunately for the vast majority of the actionsof the Moderators "Forum Nazi's" is a very appropriate and accurate term

The only bad feelings and bad blood that keeps the clans apart seems to come from the old FS members that have resigned.

Like they don't have reasons? Give me a break, the FS drove these members out and then like to say "they chose to leave". What a stretch of the actual abusive conditions being imposed on the members by an unresponsive and vindictive Council.

Look at how many quit FS.....doesn't that tell you they were the majority opinion. Doesn't that tell you Council decisions were wrong or unfair?

But the membership was stonewalled because they had no leverage to implement change.

Actually the new members of FS owe a debt of gratitude to those of us who left. Without those of us who departed in protest changes still would not have been considered by Council.

They would have continued to use member donations for their own personal whims and punish people without fair hearings.

I feel for those who remain and fight for a lost cause, I suppose Council should feel quite satisfied that they drove of most people with differing opinions. Even though those opinions favored a more responsive Council to members who support the whole operation with their donations.

If it were not for people leaving the Council would not have implemented any changes at all, and that is a very simple fact.

It took the departures to initiate any change. The changes today are very old issues that Council chose to ignore, until the groupp began to fall apart. Every single change you are considering could have been implemented at least 2-3 yrs ago. All had been under discussion and ignored by the majority of Council who wanted complete control.

I wish you well, I hope the changes implemented make the FS more democratic and responsive to the members. But just remember, the thanks does not go to FS Council, it goes to former members who left in protest and thereby initiated change.

I guess that would be me. ???

I was going to just PM LeGres or Frenchy, but will say it here.  I have never heard anyone disrespect the old members, MadDog, LeGres MacGowan, while in council or in TS.

I guess that is why I am surprised when they post that.  I have the utmost respect for all the old members.  I think I am not too far behind in being one of those also (Old Member).

Sometimes though, a post or two can set me off and I start typing when I should be going to bed to think about it.

However, I would never come on here and say anything disrepectful of the Buggars server.  I don't mind what goes on in the Private channels (I might not like it) but I would respect this server.

I think that is what the new FS members want, is a little respect. There are about 20 new members that have had nothing to do with the old MOHAA group and want to do their own thing. Do you think we can give them the chance?

Don't manipulate words here HC, there has never been any post from any Buggar that has disrespected your new members. I wish them well and just hope they realize that any changes being implemented are because of those of us who left in protest.

And isn't it a shame that Council never considered what the older members wanted? Why suddenly all this concern? Is it because 40 or so people left FS?

It's not about just the MOH group, more COD gamers left than MOH. It's about FS, it was disrespecting the members in multiple ways. Nothing more nothing less. Not MOH, not COD.

And don't you think it would be good for them to know some history? To know what drove maybe 40 members away from FS? To know that many of these resigned members actually cared about FS and resent what Council did to make it their private domain at the expense of the members?

If they are aware of the failings of FS perhaps they can help implement change to make the group stronger.

Don't you think some existing Council members are pleased with the new member influx because any vote will now most likely favor their positions becasue new members are ignorant of what Council has done in the past?

Bottom line the deletions, locks and bannings taking place in FS are because the truth hurts, and the coverup continues.

HC, don't you think it unfortunate that DE, the founder and originator of the original concepts of FS is willing to walk away totally from a group he was responsible for creating?

Granted, overtime things changes, rules, regulations, people, administration.......thats life.

But for it to get to the point of entirely walking away completely should say something in itself.

DE is being too kind.

Hardcase,

I have been a victim of censorship during my FS days in the FS forums, MANY TIMES.  I can reassure you this will never happen here.
ACtually, ALL the BUGS are moderators in our Forums BUT, NOBODY, NOONE is allowed to delete or lock threads in our private forums.

You see we trust eachother as adults that don't need guidance in their private chats. There is also common logic and if there is the need for some moderation to take place in the public forums will not happen without justification, something the FS never did during my days there. It is very insulting to get your threads deleted, locked or manipulated without explanation. Its an act of coward to hide behind anonimity and delete threads even  of your fellows clanmembers.

I am trying to say that the FS moderation was always been really poor to say it politely. And that sometimes was leading ppl to mistaken conclusion. There was abuse of power and no respect.

When I resigned I asked for 2-3 days of access to the private forums so I could be able to read my goodbyes. They gave me a couple of hours and when I asked the council member who did this no one had the guts to tell me. This is the kind of attitude that upsets ppl like LeGres and also a part of the problem that made many ppl left the FS.

As I said to Rainbow the other day, there are ppl, ex-FS that got hurt more than others, had strong feelings for the FS community  and are not ready to depart completely from the FSland. Some of them are Bugs now, I think with time they will move on.
But its naive to  having RBG or you complaining about "what the bugs want from us and upset our forums? you left, now leave us alone".
When you ask this kind of questions then I believe you have STILL NOT REALISED what happened to your clan...and you fail to see what you've done to it.
When more than 40 ppl leave it can't be only their fault, hell, they were recruited, they were found "worthy" to wear the FS tags in the first place, right?

Anyway, lets give it some time, eventually we will all move on.
YOu will be always welcome to write in our forums no matter what HC, you should know us better than that :)

Take Care,
Seven

Hi Hardcase.

When I said I was disrespected, I did not mention it was by a council member.

On another hand, check in my goodbye post, you ll see at least one person writing a post, but not even saying me goodbye or take care or a sign of cya.

This is the same person that deleted Woundwort posts because he talked about The Buggars website. That s why I never mentionned it, I knew I would get delete or cut too. I just dont understand why she deleted Woundy, since you made a reference too to the bug website telling me that I could mention it and you did not get deleted. This is the kinda decision that some people took that made me left the clan. There is no reason for one to be delete and for another one not to be.

As for the rest, I met you at Mac's house and will never forget you. I m remembering you as a gentleman and hope that the fact that we are not in the same group anymore will not change our relationship.

Regards

MacG

Forgot to mention Happy, don't want to leave anyone out that I gamed with in the "beginning" of my MOHAA days.

So is Crucial gonna load up and strap the rifle on sometime?
