I loved the [FS] when I joined and loved it until the day I could not take anymore of the BS... I even took 4 hours of my day once at the bank and wrote a new article III to cover all the issues we were having...Do you realize how much bank money I wasted? I cared enough to waste my time and my bank's time to try and solve the problems we were having.. And you know what I got for that, maybe two comments and one of them saying that they were going with LTD's version which did not even compare to mine.. He was missing ALL of the important issues, term length for council, etc.. But mine covered the hot button issues that were eating away at us from the inside out..

So if anyone dares to question my motives, I have a few choice words for you... I am old [FS] AND I am new -=SC=- and nothing can change that...

Forgot to mention Happy, don't want to leave anyone out that I gamed with in the "beginning" of my MOHAA days.

I'm here buddy.  Trying to decide if I'm part of a sinking ship with [FS]  I can't connect to freesoldiers.net website I am thinking I was banned, but who knows... NS blames it on my ISP but my ISP says I was banned...

The reasons I am staying with FS:  I like CoD, there are always people on the server, I am in charge of TWL and I do like that, even if we never win, lol...

But I am not impressed with how things are being run, and we lost a lot of good people, more good was lost than bad in my opinion.  What I mean is that I think that council assumed that the bad apples would weed themselves out if they started being harsh, and I just don't know about that tactic...

I have some hope though, Drummer is starting to take up more responsibility, he has applied for council.  If he can turn the boat around I think my presence there will be an asset to his <cartman> authorita </cartman>

The things that keep me there are the few friends that I have there, but mostly I want to see if things will turn around.  I wear my tags about 60% of the time these days...  Depending on how I feel.

Personal note:  I graduated college and am applying for jobs.

Happy, its hard to walk away, but sometimes it is necessary to maintain your sanity and piece of mind.. You have a lot of friends here in the buggars and in the -=SC=- as well as other clans... At some point you need to measure what makes you happy versus your commitment to the [FS].. Like you said, if you wear your tags 60% of the time these days, why wear them at all? You should be proud of the tags in front of your name.. I think DMB being involved is a good thing, he has some fresh perspective... But one man cant cure cancer, at least not that I know of... Either way. its good to hear from you.. Feel free to come say hi to some of your otha brotha's at www.southerncomfortclan.com (sorry buggars if this is inappropriate, let me know)... I am sure you will see plenty of names and faces you recognize.. Great news on the graduation, congrats buddy!! Now you cna become a working slob full time.. lol

OMG! HE mentioned another clan's site!!  Edit/delete asap!!   Well, yea, this sure ain't FS.  Hell, I'm a member and they edit my posts when I mention another clan but not non-members. ???

It's a shame that we let them steal the clan from us.

Speaking of old FS I see the FS History topic that included DE's post on the origins of FS from long ago has been removed, at least from Public view.

It also had included monthly updates by [FS] Luds and [FS] MW.

To my knowledge the thread had not been tarnished by posts upsetting to the FS.

How unfortunate and childish to remove how the FS was founded. The posts were History, which does not change, and not current issues. The problem for FS leadership was that, most likely, the topic supported what many of the departed have been saying all along.

That leads to one conclusion. They really wish to hide what FS was all about and bury the origins.

To me deleting the History is a clear example of how low the FS has sunk and how much they tend to hide behind editorial license.

Might as well hold book burning parties at FS. The phrase I have seen used in reference to FS, Forum Nazi's, might actually be quite appropriate.

I thought I was done posting here..but..Shamu It was removed by my request. I have requested that all reference of [FS] Desert Eagle, just go away in the public areas of the [FS].  I have had all of my user names deleted and to ensure there are no more Desert Eagle's had the name added to the banned names list for the site.  Only one being childish is perhaps me when it comes to dealing with the [FS].

The [FS] is one bridge that I have burned, buried and never plan to cross again. My days of "Fighting For Freedom" are done and those I enjoyed my time with are also gone or done with the [FS].

I think there is much more to it than that, if that were the case specific posts or references could have been edited out per your request.

Second, even though it was words you had written it was not posted by you.

There was simply too much history there for your request to have caused the elimination of the entire topic.

One thing I am sure of it was not done out of respect to your request. Did they use your request as an excuse to eliminate an entire topic? Possibly.

Or it had nothing to do with you at all and it was their continuing attempt to bury the past.

Point being the driving motive was devious and self serving, not done out of respect for your comments. You may have just provided an excuse.

Nice save Mac, thanks.

And as can be seen, hardly a Topic that should have been deleted except done as a coverup.

Maybe DE, but I still have a few friends there. One being Woundy.

I even feel bad that he has been left behind to fight the dictatorship. Sort of like I abandoned him. So, I use this vehicle for comment......I know it gets read. The History being the latest indicator.

And like it or not the FS need to realize that the changes taking place are because of those who left, not because of the leadership.

I like reminding them of that now and then.
