I ve got a promotion.
Starting Nov. 20, 2006 I will be affect to the Investigation Crime Unit (not sure of the translation but Im gonna be Sgt detective if you prefer) for about 1 1/2 year since the one who is there is going to take a 1 1/2 year off behing pregnet.
After this period, I shall return back to my unit as Sgt supervisor.
What s good with that is that I will keep my Sgt supervisor salary (which is a few grant more than being a Sgt detective)and will have acces to all the advantage of the ICU. I will work in civilian clothes and unmarked car, work 8 to 5, 4 days a week (unless I have to do overtime
)... No more night or evening shift and free week end for the next year and half, unless overtime and/or emergency.
I wanted to be part of this unit since 2 years already and I finally got a chance to go there. I ve met the Lt and talked with him about it and he finally told me that he had accepted my request.
Good Lord Jesus, what a good week it is...
