Dangerous and stupid, specially in pre-season game

definitely left his feet, an unsuspecting victim though not from the back. 20 games seems fair being a pre-season game, a good message to players to keep it clean.

Even though it's only pre-season it's not unusual to see the "tough" guys trying to earn their way on by what they do best, hit or fight.

I like seeing these guys earn their spots in preseason but not with that type of hit. It could have been a hard, clean check had he not left his feet and hit the head.

I do not know if the other player had had the puck or not, I am assuming he did but certainly could be wrong. If he did not just pass the puck then that type of hit was even more stupid.

Also understand I am not a hockey purist, I like the hitting and fighting. To me the fights are a big part of the entertainment value in hockey.

He passed the puck just before he crossed the back of the net.

It would have been legal if done the proper way.

Drove up to Buffalo to watch the Penguins play the Sabres last weekend!!! The last game of the preseason!!  I'll have to line up my favs on the Center Ice ticket and check for more games that the wife and I can travel to.... Pittsburg, Philly, DC, Raliegh, New York, Columbus and New Jersey are all within striking distance!!  I'm kind of glad I don't get this hyped over other sports...I'd never be able to afford it!!  hehe

We got club level seats at HSBC for 40$ each. I don't think I'll get that lucky for any other games....but I am watching 2 different ticket brokers on my favs.

Go ahead...call me a puckhead !!!
