how this happened? The Power Company is digging all over the neighbourhood to replace the cables. To save time, they had two "pneumatic drillings" breaking concrete at the SAME time a few feet in front of my apartment (I live in the ground floor).

this is just under my window

in front of the building's entrance (don't ask how we enter the building..it was a difficult stunt..to say the least).
You can see the power cable (thick black). Look at the water pipes, how narrow they are...

I could feel the tremors that morning before I leave to work but it wouldnt cross my mind that my ceiling would collapse.
(I am not a mechanic but how smart is to have 2 powerfull drills working at the same time in the same spot?)
The good thing is I wasnt there where happened. That morning I was sitting with a friend at the exact point of collapse. Those pieces are HEAVY could kill you if fall in your head.
The other good thing is that the dining room is the least decorated (if any) room of the apartment so I dont really care for furniture and stuff. I am glad it didnt happen to the pc room.
The bad thing is all the 47years old building dust I inhaled, plus all the trouble I have to go through to make this ppl PAY for the dammage.
I didnt have my flat insured (its not customed here..oh well..I should..) but they will fix it.
Now I have transfered the pc at the bedroom since the pc room is exposed to too much dust and I cant stay there.
I hope they will fix the damn thing soon enough. Its not practical to have the pc in the bedroom..but I wont move it back to its room before they fix the ceiling.
Funny thing, last bill from the power company was the lowest ever got. Only 22 Euros when I usually pay 100. I was so glad!
They took my low bill joy back, the BASTARDS!!
