If McCain had received 95% +/- of the white vote the whites would be racist.

Obama receives 95% +/- of the black vote and it is a non issue.

Seems racism is a one way street.

How unfortunate.

Very true indeed.  No experience and can not do anything unless he has a script in front of him.   And now Americans have voted the Anti-Christ to power. America is doomed!!

If Obama is that Anti-Christ that will be the least of my worries since I am not very religious in the first place.

I even think he will do well enough on the world stage if he surrounds himself with good advisors. Certainly he himself is a capable speaker, if he listens and learns what to say he will do well.

My main concern is his domestic plan that, I think, will bring more government into our lives and higher taxes. Taxes may not come immediately but as the cost of his policies raise government expenditure our taxes will be raised in support.

I do like his support of stem cell research and hope he moves to end the restrictions imposed by Bush on Presidential order. I also like the fact that he is pro-choice.

In both of the above cases I do not feel anyones personal religious beliefs should be imposed on persons who see no religious reason not to support stem cell research or hav an abortion.

Much the same sentiment for euthanasia which as I get older gets more personal. I do not want some cleric, of any persuasion, interfering in what should be my choice and mine alone.

All things said I support Obama and wish him well. I hope he proves me wrong in many of my concerns.

It seems all around the world Goverment is involved in the financial things more and more trying to save the day(s).

Can you blame goverments? yes! cause they let the free market / banks/ whatever to screw everything and now with OUR money we pay the bank failures caused by the greed of some Golden Boys.

So it seems nowdays you DO need some goverment in your life even if this will cost you a bit. Greed wasnt a good councelor this time Shamu.

The gap between incomes is getting huger and huger and I dont think that you should blame the poorest people for this. It will  be ok from the richest to give something to fix the balance. Not everyone who has financial problems is just a lazy bastard living from social care.

For example: I am not a lazy bastard and I havent got a raise the last 6 years while life has become almost 100% more expensive. While most of the Greek's ppl income was dicreasing   the "per capita income" in Greece was increasing but all this extra money went to the hands of the very few. How can someone cope with  this kind of wealth distribution? It was always happening this way but the gap now its really extreme.  Its like the middle class starts to disappear in favor of the very rich and the very poor.

I do hope Obama will make it and I would wish the same if McCain won. We need a strong and wise USA. Things are not that easy for you nowdays you might not realise but your place in the world hierarchy it is in danger indeed.

Fun and profit......actually a good point for me. Early this year I took some money from my 401 and used it to buy SEVERAL C&R guns and a few others.

Had I left that money where it was half of it would be gone because of the markets. Guns, however, seem to be holding their value.

So it turns out that what I did was a very sound financial move.

Among the new guns I bought are a Springfield Armory Scout and a S&W M&P 15R

As for the C&R's: M1's (a few); 1917 Enfields (a few); 2 30 Cal Carbines, 3 1903 Springfields, a Tokarev SVT 40, and a Russian SKS.

A M1, 1903 and 1917 Enfield also came from Miltech. http://www.miltecharms.com/

I also bought two lower receivers for AR's and am going to put them together myself. Already have a Lewis Machine Tool and Bushmaster Uppers, both gas piston type. Also have the Lower Receiver Assembly Kits.

I have been eyeing a tt33 soviet and some makarov's cause thats what my wife used in high school in the soviet army and she misses them.
been looking for a decent m1 carbine for her that wont break the bank, miltech has nice stuff but I prefer to buy cheap and repair on my own, being a pretty competent gunsmith myself...

you definitely knew what you pick out to add to a good collection. I am impressed with your taste. still looking for a good garand for myself too...

Be sure to understand Muzzle (ME) and Throat Erosion (TE), critical to a good buy. I made a couple mistakes before learning their meaning.

As a gunsmith I would expect you know already but the site given is still a nice site for gun reviews.

BTW......I do have a Mosin Nagant pistol in nice condition:
