I have both Black Powder Rifles and Pistols but never really got into using them like I should. Too lazy I guess, I like sticking a simple cartridge in and firing away.

I understand the new powders are quite clean.

The old stuff cleaned of best in a bath of HOT water.

With all these horse pictures in here I thought I would post the one of my daughters that she rides in endurance races (50-100 mile races)

 

Icka is an Arabian that came to my daughter from field stock when she was less than 2 yrs old, never had been ridden. When she first came to my daughters house she told us how skittish she was becasue she was field raised and not yet used to people being close.

When I went to first visit we bonded immediately, she let me handle her and kept nuzzling me in the chest, my daughter was shocked that she even let me approach her let alone touch her and have her respond to me as she did.

I admire people who take time to care for animals.

Call me callous but the only donation we made with regard to Katrina was for animal care.

People can fend for themselves.

 Awwww geeeezzzz... now you guys have done it!!  I showed my wife the pics of the horses(she used to show), now I'll lose my guys domain... no offense 7... :P But she'll want to come in and talk horse stuff and then I'll have to stay on the old comp to play with my 100+ ping.... lol

She's nuts over horses... she's even just gotten fitted w/ a new helmet and boots so she can try riding again. I'm taking her out next Monday afternoon for her first time back on a horse in probably 10 years.

FYI....have you heard of Michael Martin Murphy? He has an excellent CD out called Horse Legends, if your wife likes music and horses it would probably be a hit with her.
