Donations
« on: September 13, 2006, 01:45:37 AM »
Donations from members and guests are unfortunatley necessary to maintain the Buggars World as we know it.

In our case anyone can see the status of our accounts by clicking on the "Donation" link, top right in the Menu Bar or the "Bullseye" block, top right column.

All donations go directly to our Clanservers account are are not held by any individual member of the Buggars.

Below the Bullseye a list will be shown, not to include amount, of the 10 most recent donations. This list is updated manually as E-mails are received from Clanservers notifying us of the contribution.

Our thanks are greatfully extended to those who can contribute to our operating costs.

Regarding the E-mails from Clanservers. Below is a sample copy of an e-mail transmission notifying us of a contribution, it is a representative copy for info purposes.

A ClanPay transaction has been made in your account. Here is a summary of the
transaction:

Payment Status: Completed
Payment Amount: 10.00
Payer Email: whoever@xyz.com
Payer Name: John Doe

The possibility exists that we may not recognize the e-mail address or know the game name of the contributor so don't be bashful, feel free to notify either Seven or myself with your game name so we can identify the contributor. A  heads up in this topic will also work.

We do not want Thank You's to go unsaid.

Questions, about operating expenses? Feel free to ask.

Well said Shamu! :)

Many Bugs ask me about the amount they should donate.
Our maintenance costs are not high for the moment. We mentain a game server of 20 players, a TS server of 20 players, a domain name.

I would advise you to click on the donations button. You will redirected in a gameservers page. In this page you are able to see the current balance for the Buggars. This amount will show you and help you decide if you need to donate and what amount.

I hope this helps you.

As for those who can't use Paypal and still want to donate please contact me or Shamu and we will find a way.

Thanks again to anyone contributing, Bugs included (donating is not obligatory).
The biggest reward is to see ppl having fun in our servers :)

lol no! this is how UP we are.

if it was positive this would be the money we owe. when its negative that means its the money we have in our clanservers piggybank.

so for example lets say the current balance is -300.
In October, Glanservers will take the montly cost (lets say 50$) and the new current balance will be -250.

the minus (-) is from the accountant's view since we are their clients. And the client's balance is usually positive in accounting (which means the client owes money).
But in our case we have "prepaid". so we have a negative balance.
I hope I helped you understand..

(man..I knew that making commercial/accounting computer programs for 8 years would be useful one day!  ;D )

Well, I thought it was pretty obvious, but then again, owing on eight credit cards I learned
a few things. Like if you pay more then the balance ( LOL ) your next statement will show
a -$ amount. Oh wait, those were utility bills.

This from another post.
You can read the whole topic in Private Board: Upgrade, your opinion is needed.

well tonite we had a full server ! (first time?)

I think we could upgrade our server a bit from 20 players to 24 or 26.

our current cost is 39.95$ for the game server  + 5 $ for a 20 players teamspeak 44.95$ per month. This cost includes our web site space (comes free with the server).

Now the cost for 24 players would be 47.95$ + 5$ (for TS) 52.95$ total per month.

if we do it 26 players it will be 51.95 + 5 =56.95$ total per month.

What you think ppl? I say go for the 24 players update at least.
Since many of you contribute I think your input is needed here.

thank you :)

FYI....I believe Web Page space is maxing out, if we intend to run statistics additional space may be needed.

It was funny.

Just give me a few weeks to get my Tommy skills back then watch out ;)

But to get back on track it read -$374, or close to that number.

Now is this in the good?

Yes, if the number shows a minus symbol that is to the good.

Now bring on that Tommy.
