Need some good sites for parts to build a computer.

I need some good U.S. sites for all parts of a computer.So when i get there i can get my new pc built.and kick some ass with a 20 ping.Come on trauma you got the sites.If i get some sites and you all know the right boards and parts to get. any ideas of parts?
I want a fast computer for under $2500 thanks for the help Soul

Here is what I found: newegg was not always the best price but the most reliable. I did search and search and search but did not want to get parts from too many different places and I ended by buying them all from newegg.

Also, I always been sort of confused on video cards. Well there is one thing I wont do again is buy a ATI !!!! Never had problem with my GForce but did in the past with an ATI. I let a friend convence me to get that and I regret. Next video upgrade, I'm going back to a good GForce.

You should be able to get a GREAT PC for under $1200 I would think. Depend on how crazy you want to get. If you start thinking "water cool" then send me pictures when you are done !!!  :)

I build 3 month ago a 3.2GHZ dual Processor Pentium4 MSI Neo 945p motherboard. 1G of DDR2 5300, ATI crappy video card and a lot of fan. Love it.

I have used Tiger Direct and have no complaints about their service.

Can't say I priced shopped but I think they are as competitive as anyone.

Soul, Lap uses tiger direct (we go to the store though... we have one in the area), new egg, ebay, and some private sellers of his own. 

He just built an awsome machine for BHD (Black hawk down)for about $1,500.00 bucks with equal components.  Plus he paid shipping out of that money to get the machine to Connecticut.  Lapman also told me to tell you if you spend that much money on computer parts your insane. LOL (sorry for being blunt but that is a quote).  Here is Lapman's email address: cdminc@verizon.net  You might want to get in touch with him sometime.  ;)

Do you plan to run windows Vista when it hits shelves Jan. 30th of 07'? If so might I recommend this card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130071 That card is direct x 10 compliant.  ;) Case and power supply look awesome but why not so high on the power supply. You only need double of the power the system will actually top out at. You add the componants total power draw and times that number by 2. Anything else is overkill. So after doing the math you would be better with maybe an 800 watt power supply.

While I was at toms hardware I noticed this nice article which seems to be worth mentioning in this thread. http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/09/20/conventional_hard_drive_obsoletism/

It seems that a combination of sata or eide (depending on prefrance) in combination with this new drive would make for the best performance pc. I especialy was impressed with its abilities in the operating system venue. I plan to grab one to install the baseline operating system on and then use the raptor for everything else.

The 975's are still a bit new and prone to alot of bugs (no pun intended). Top line 775 board right now is the asus pw5. Also the most overclocking friendly.  ;)

not to piss anyone off, but I can tell you personally, talk to WULFPAK on this.  I did the same thing gave him a limit and he set me up great.  Take it for what it's worth.   :clap:

Yes Wulfpak is a very good guy to look to for assistance.  He has built some nice rigs for himself and others.  He'll be the first guy I go to when I need a new comp.   

He's a good old-fashioned stand up dude. 8)

Thats 1 smokin' a$$ system Soul!!! Cant wait to die by that extreme ping your gonna have with that extreme machince you'le be runnin. :clap: I bet it does take a few maps for you to get used to not having to lead those shots so much.  ;)

All the parts are coming next week so hope to be back on-line 16th dec or so.
