Seven has pc problems $%#$@#@$%#
« on: August 11, 2007, 03:26:17 PM »
Oh well, I have made 3 formats and windows installation this week. Seems my motherboard is in peril. Asus technicians told me to take it to service. But that means 1 week without pc. I will do that end of the month much probably.

The thing is I cant install MOH..the BT cd seems to be dead. I ordered War chest but dunno when I will have it.
I will try to install a "copy" I have and if it works I will play tonite. Otherwise I will play some COD today instead ;)

stupid asus motherboards @#@$^$%&@#%@!

I've never been clever, because need it never.

This was from an earlier post on un-installing and re-installing MOH.
Maybe it will help. Hey,I am just back from the beach so you may already be playing..I don't know.

You can't completely uninstall MOH unless you go into your registry and remove this key: {7914BE.................etc.
This is where you will find it. It is the Spearhead key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Management\ARPCache\{7914BE1E-F186-4790-B8F4-9F63C52A41C1}

If you don't delete it, certain files will remain on the HD even after removing the program. Possibly a corrupt file that is conflicting with the install.

And in case any one is wondering, here is the key for AA:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Management\ARPCache\{0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02}

And the key for Breakthrough:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Management\ARPCache\{823A68CC-3049-4A6B-8F63-7DC85E4BB1C9}

In the registry just go to "find next" and type in 7914BE1E and it will take you right to the key. I think after you delete it you should reboot your computer just to be sure it doesn't recognize it.

I would save it but I don't understand it. :(

No fault of the author, just this computer illiterate.
