I was in the same place I am now, at my Pocono house, and my youngest son Brian (Woundy) was with me. I cannot help thinking about it.
I had the TV on watching God knows what when the program interruption came on and I switched to CNN. Brian was still asleep. Did not take long for me to roust him from bed. But at first, I just thought it was news worthy.
As the story developed so did the emotion, it was a horrific event that those in this country are unlikely to ever forget. For my generation it was our Pearl Harbor. Many of the images will be etched in my mind forever.
Watching it develop and the speculation was emotional, the compassion for those affected, the heroism of the public servants involved and the anger and need for revenge were all experienced.
My emotion even shows itself now as I type with more typos and mistakes than I ever make. If I posted without editing this post would have been unreadable for the mistakes.
