I must say 3rd's server is a true test of patience.

I am used to run and gun and certainly am not a camper at heart. There are also many rules, some of which I am not sure about.

I got into the enemy spawn, never camped but kept moving but was advised I should not be there. Map was Ramagen, I got behind them and kept moving from one side of spawn to the other of spawn.

My difficulty is the slow movement, I want to get where I am going......fast! Of course this makes me an easy target because I keep advancing wherever possible.

Very difficult to adapt to a camping style of play when camping has been something that is usually made fun of on our type of server. Heck, some servers even set you on fire for camping

My impatience and run and gun style makes 3rd's server a test of patience for an impatient man.

Take note Wolf, add my kills and deaths together and I most likely will have the highest combination of both. Unfortunately more deaths than kills

I just do not have the patience to sit around and do nothing....unless it's a match.

All that said.....beware, I will be back

Seven will also appreciate this, combine my ping and old age (slow reflexes) and I get killed a lot on even match ups, my gun hesitates before firing......ping related I suspect.

Well have not been to the UK in about 10 years.  London was not all that fun, except for the War Museum, all the bars and pubs close to early.  Do you have one of those sweet Female UK accents?

If so might just have to dust off the Spearhead CD and the headphones and come check out your server....

I was on your side on this one, until i visited your server.

There were about 14 people in, most of them with PARA or RETIRED tags on.

I played ok after remembering to toggle my run off.

BUT.... as far as tolerance goes, i think you have no right to come here and complain about your treatment, until you sort out your own server.

Your console was constantly putting up the message 'OBEY THE RULES OR GET KICKED / BANNED' !!

I was booted 3 times with no reason given or prior warning. When i logged back in I had to ask numerous times why i had been kicked. Apparently i was running ! Like you said it's very difficuly to get used to a different style of play.

I also got stuck in a doorway with 2 of the opposite team and after missing them with my shot i managed to club both of them. One of your teammates laughed and said nice one (i think he was called Steinhandler) The other (Urri) was complaing and saying NO JUMP.

Again, a misunderstanding. It is very hard for me not to jump when in close combat, a habit picked up playing Freeze Tag Objective for years. I was under the impression that you could jump from realistic heights, but not if someone is trying to shoot you !

SO...  we must agree to disagree.

I will say this though. You or any of your clan would NEVER be kicked from the BUGS server without several warnings, usually for deliberate team killing or suspected cheating.

I hope to play in your server again soon, but i would like to think the tolerance levels will be a bit higher.

Just my thoughts and my experiences of tonight.

Okay Wolf, I have tried and simply cannot play your server.

Again, this time Algiers, on Allies I got to the roof area where axis were spawning, killed one axis, continued to move and was shooting at another. Got warned to stay out of spawn.

Left the area and moved back to allied side, eventually got killed and respawned near roof. So essentially I spawned in what was Axis side.

I questioned this and a 3rd PARA said spawns had not switched. Sry, but I have played long enough to know the spawns did switch. It's normal on Algiers.

So if you are alive for some time how can you tell where the spawn currently is and where you are allowed to go?

Understand I do not spawn camp, I move until I find a target. Yes, I do try to get as far into the enemy as I can.

After that episode I had no clue as to where I would be allowed to go on Rocket where spawns do not switch. I was afraid to go outside by the Rocket or to the control room for fear of being told to get out of Axis spawn.

I am sorry but some of your spawn guidelines make absolutely no sense or members of your group do not themselves understand their rules.

It's almost like you need a line of demarcation so players know how far they are allowed to advance. Very difficult on a visitor.

I have always played as honestly as I can and try to abide by server rules as best I can. 3rdPARa has proven to be a test of that committment.

For the record I do run a blood mod, Mr Jingles, and use a green circle for a sight. I have no clue if that presents problems at your server.

Hmmmmm I am very suprised at some of the recent posts. I will try cover them as best I can.

On maps where the Spawn is not static there are some issues with what constitutes Spawncamp & what does not. Some players "WRONGLY" assume a player in a switched Spawn is spawncamping when they may have spawned there at the start and remained there. I do not say everyone is perfect & I am sorry for any bad experiences you may have found.
 The console issue is easy to explain, this is an automated message generated because we find many players coming to our server RUN constantly & have not read our rules. I take all on board you say re tolerance & patience I suppose all clans have players who have different degrees of these atributes. Unfortunately I have not been able to visit the server this week so I have not been there to assist if you visited.

I apologise for any of my comrades who may have interpreted and applied our rules too fervently. Please do not let this put you off visiting again.

Personally I see nothing wrong with invading an opponents spawn, in realism that is what you should be trying to do.

As for Spawn Camping there are Mods to stop camping but from what I hav3e seen many players on your server are campers so I suppose that rules that mod out.

The spawn rule is the one rule that I see as difficult to monitor and define. Some maps have static spawns, some do not, like Rocket.

So in Rocket where do you draw the line? Can Allies move out to the rocket platform? Can Axis run through Allied spawn?

I have been criticized twice for being in the opponents spawn, I never camped the spawn and was only still when tryng to shoot an opponent.

I have also noticed glitch exploitation that would not be allowed in TWL matches.

Your server is nice for trying something different but the rules are complicated and administered inconsistently. However I do visit and abide as best I can.

As for the caps, keep in mind using caps in the Internet language is like shouting at someone. For some players seeing caps is like seeing bad manners or common courtesy expressed towards them.

For a run and gun person as I am this type of game is a nightmare

However my biggest problem was that I had motion sickness from the walking!!

As for the spawn killing this are complicated, in v2 rocket as Axis I was killed as soon as I spanwed many times and from Para players as well. I guess in maps where the spawn area is not as limited that could be an issue.

In any case it was an interesting experience until I started getting nautious from the slow motion

I havent been around alot lately due to work but hope your future visits prove to be better than your past. Maybe through the open dialog in this thread you and we have a better understanding of each others servers and style of play. I will visit your server when time permits me and hope to see you in game.
