Hiya to you all.

This post is by the way of a complaint regarding the conduct of one of your members. I am sorry I did not stay long enough on your server to record his name. If he is not a coward I am sure he will own up.

I visited your server tonight for the first time. I am a female member of a Tactical, Rifle Only, No Run Server. I had only been on the server for a couple of maps when this "Gentleman" {I use the term loosly} questioned how I had come to the rank of Ssg playing the way I do. I explained I was from a Tactical Rifle only Server who was not used to your type of server. I was greeted with a threat of being escorted off the server for not unfreezing players. I WAS trying very hard to stay alive & get used to the Running, SMGs & Nades as well as unfreezing my comrades.The intolerant attitude of your member to new guests stinks & I told him so. I freely admit I was struggling to get used to the pace of the game but I was unfreezing as many players as I could as often as I could. I had just unfrozen 2 other players when I was subjected to your members onslaught.

If this is how guests are treated on their first visit I do not think you will get many staying for long or returning. None of our members would have treated a guest thus especially one who was playing to the best of their ability within the rules.

I will be advising all our members and guests on our forum of the rude and intolerant welcome given to guests on your server.

As one of the originators of this group let me tell you that I find your comments distrurbing and contrary to what we are trying to develop.

There has already been dialogue started in our Private section, posted by another member, with thoughts similar to mine.

Above all else we are trying to develop a friendly gaming atmosphere not driven strictly by competitive juices.

Actually I hope your comments are full of mistruths or misunderstandings because, if true, it does reflect badly on our group.

At the very least understand that your comments are not being ignored.

Freeze tag is in league of there own. It demands constant attention to where everybodies (teamate and opponent)are at. Locations on or typed on the screen when your dead. Tactics to save your team and stay alive. The decision to draw fire to save one of your own in hopes you'll be thawed after the fact. Freezetag is a mod that can make for a very busy game to say the least. FT is all about "MY" team.

Ive played FT with the Buggars for at least 5 years. I learned most of my tactics from them. I can safely say that they (|Bugs|) had taught me the fine art of team effort.  Never once had i seen anybody threatened without due cause. Yes, i too at one time was told i need to thaw, so i did and it was good. Freezetag still remains one of my favorite games.

Due to my internet connection i cannot afford to be competitive. But i sure know how to have fun. These are good people here and im sure the only problem it simple typeing has no emotions.

If your use to a tactical server with rifles only, i can see how the buggers server was very busy for you. They do have TS and im sure if you had a problem just jump on and have a chat with them.

Thank you for your attention regarding this issue SHAMU. Perhaps in hindsight I am guilty of over reaction as was your member. If I am welcome I will visit you again & endavour to be more attentive to unfreezing. All I ask in return is a little patience and understanding from all for a player not used to your mode & style of play.

I have posted your PM reply on our forum. I apologise to the member in question if I spoiled their game it was not intentional & I was trying honest.

As far as I am concerned the incident is closed.

As our server is in Holland you may find the ping and time differential strange but I am sure you will enjoy your visit. Because of the slower play the atmosphere is usually more relaxed & there is more time for written humour.

Well Seven and Hutler may like that, Seven is from Greece and Hutler is from England.

We also have a European server located in......Germany I think. Seven uses it for testing but it's up and running with little traffic. Good place for a few of your players to try FT.

We run very few "mods". The rifles are kicked up a notch and ammo may be tweaked a bit. All weapons are allowed and FF is always on. TK's are frowned upon but accidents happen and we understand that, usually an apology takes care of it unless it becomes intentional.

Generally you will find we are an older, or should I say more mature, group with me being the oldest at 63.

And as you say, hopefully this incident is behind us and we learn what we can from it.

Wolf I am glad for the happy ending, I was sure we could solve this in a nice civilized manner (ok Beckett and civilization are not compatible but well he is a nice dude so we allow him to play with us      )

I visited your site and I was quite impressed from how international your clan is, all these countries!!
Your game seems interesting I will certainly try to play in your server, even if I am not sure I can walk all the time, this is something I haven't used to do in games.

You are more than welcome to our servers and as Shamu said, if you feel like doing some Freeze Tag training our European server is available.

I too played there this afternoon for several maps. Very difficult to spot anyone hiding waiting for you to appear. At least after getting killed you can respawn immediately. But even with a ping of 100 I was still able to kill ppl. No nades.... .....I figured Seven might like trying it after playing Malta Sniper map.

I visited, did okay, top in kills on my team but killed a lot also.

Wolf came in while I was there too.

Certainly different from FT.

 It was I that offered to escort SSG Wolf from the server. Perhaps the young lady should pay alittle more attention to the fact that when she becomes the only one left, that although camping is allowed, the tactical advantage would be in the survival of the team above oneself. It not only aggrevated me, but many of our other guests, whether new, regulars, or members. What probably aggrevated me more was listening to all the complaining. I also spectated you a few times. Your account of trying to adjust to game play looked like a lack of trying at all from following you in spectate.
 I happened to be the one that typed something. I understand the rules in a tactical server, as I have played in several. You play by your rules in your server and we play by ours in the one we financially support. You'd give me a ration if I injected our style in your server, so don't expect anything less in this one.

Tune into our TS and perhaps you'd have heard you weren't the only one disgusted.

I also dont have the gift of tact or butt smootching.... I say it like I mean it.

I think I understand all the issues and the bottom line is that it might just come down to patience.

If someone does not get the concept a resonable time is needed for them to learn, it also may take some friendly guidance from those with experience.

I also take the side that Medic is not alone in the THAW! mindset.

But if we are to adhere to what we tried to do here it often requires patience.

Keep in mind there are some of our own members who have just learned on some maps the dead body locations are shown, let alone noticing when you are the last one left alive.

Bet most of us have done that and will do it again. There are even some BUGS who miss it, or ignore it, more often than not..

From my perspective to unfreeze my team mates I need to stay ALIVE self preservation to achieve this was my aim. The pace of your server is so different to what I am used to it was hard to take everything in. I noticed a few times team mates stood BESIDE my frozen body who did not unfreeze me were you spectating them also ?. Another thing I noticed was the opposition were staked out near my fallen comrades a sure way for me to be killed.
All that aside I apologise again if I upset you and other players.

Regarding FF we used to find a number of "players" {term used loosly} liked nothing better than to "TK bash" or TK shoot you in the back. This can be extremely anoying on a Tactical server if you have a good cover location and are scoring well. The solution was to make TK impossible the "idiot faction" still try to TK but at least now they can not succeed.

Read you loud and clear honey & I do understand as "Team Work" is a factor in Tactical also. But what use is a team mate frozen in a bad location ?.

Once again sorry if I caused a problem to my team mates the other night. Please be patient I will learn your pace and style given a little time. One last thing I was not going to mention it as I do not use it as an excuse but for the record.
I have a handicap that makes me a little slower to react than most players. Because of a childhood accident the middle two fingers on my left hand had to be removed. I can only play the game by using a specially modified joypad sat on my lap with my left hand and a mouse with my right. I do not expect or want sympathy or favours I compete as an equal but please understand because I am slower I am "cannon fodder" in most close combat situations {so I try avoid them}. This is excentuated when I am playing on "run" servers, I can and will adapt but please have a little patience.

You are all welcome to visit our "snail pace" server anytime.

However if anyone kills me too often :-
