Here is a photo I took this spring, this doe would jump the fence and eat bread my wife was throwing out for the birds......leaving two babies (not in picture) on the other side of the fence. And the dog and deer would take turns running at each other trying to chase each other off.

I also feed ehe deer back of my Pocono house, useually whole corn.

We throw it into the back yard and try to keep our distance from the deer. For us the reason is hunting, if we inadvertantly tame them it can be a death sentence for the deer when hunting season comes around.

I also have two Labs who I allow out loose when I am with them. One day my yougest, a 2 yr old yellow Lab, came across a doe in the woods near the house.

First I knew about it was seeing my Lab running back home with eyes bulged open in fear, next here comes a Doe hot on her trail.
When the doe was satisfied she had put the fear of God and Nature into my lab she stopped chasing her.

Rather funny to watch but I do not think my lab found much humor in the event. The Lab involved is the Yellow Lab pictured earlier in this thread.

When she came back to me I had a long talk with her about not messing with Mother Nature ;)

Please do not take this the wrong way, but what is your wife wearing on her head?  Is that a set of spotlights for spotting deer? :-\ :-\

 :D LOL :D
You goof....those are ultra-sonic deer alerts.
When my wife runs through the backyard doing 75....the whistling sound alerts
the deer to get the hell outta the way or get clocked!
